Clare Collection tourism losses hit €1m for first six months of 2025

Craggaunowen will echo to the sound of clashing steel this May Bank Holiday Weekend (Saturday, 3 May, and Sunday, 4 May) as fearsome Norse warriors take over the historic site, transforming it into a bustling Viking village.
INIS CEALTRA’s long awaited opening as a visitor attraction will be done in a “two-pronged approach”.
*Knappogue Castle. “TEETHING problems” have been encountered but Knappogue Castle is on course to open to the public for bookings as a five-star residence in the spring while lack of investment at the Shannon Heritage sites was prevalent ‘for years if not decades’.

VISITOR numbers at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park in County Clare have exceeded more than 344,000 for the year to date representing a 14% increase on the overall visitor count for 2022.
