WITH weather conditions improving in the past week, competitions were held at some clubs over the weekend and its expected that more clubs will start their competition schedule this week.
The ladies golfer of the year award at Ennis has been won by Sinead Hegarty while Patricia O’Reilly has won the award for the most improved golfer and she is also the bronze medal winner.
The men’s Christmas hampers competition took place at Dromoland at the weekend when there was a big turnout and some excellent scoring.
The Ozone Health & Fitness league continued at the weekend at Woodstock when the competition format was singles over 15 holes.
RONAN O’Looney has won the Golfer of the Year 2023 award at Woodstock Golf Club.

The men’s competition at Dromoland at the weekend was for the Fred O’Flanagan memorial trophy.
The Munster Group insurance competition at Kilrush at the weekend was won by Sean Moran (22) with 41 points.
