*Harry Dinan. The convicted killer of a Clare school teacher knows that he is going to prison for drug dealing after getting ‘caught rotten’, a court has heard.
*Gardaí made the drugs swoops in July and August 2023. A 28-year old West Clare man on a carer’s allowance to look after his mother “is facing a significant period in custody” after being caught with just under €300,000 worth of cocaine and cannabis.
A JUDGE has jailed a Shannon man for 22 months for slashing a mother of five with a Stanley knife and smashing glass in a caravan close to where her two week old baby lay during a violent disorder incident.

*Colm Fitzgerald. A son of controversial Antrim hurling manger, and Clare hurling legend, Davy Fitzgerald, was given a fully suspended 12-month prison sentence after he admitted stealing €35,000 from his then employer, Bank of Ireland, to feed his “out-of-control gambling addiction”.
*Conor Gavin. A former Clare minor gaelic football captain has been jailed for two years and four months for the sexual assault of a woman.
*Trevor Quinn. A JUDGE has jailed a teenage ‘Born Again Christian’ for 14 months for an ‘outrageous’ broad daylight machete attack on a busy Ennis street that left his victim requiring 40 stitches to a facial wound.
*Ennis Garda Station. A PRISONER ‘went up in a puff of smoke’ and absconded from Garda custody at Ennis Garda Station during a cigarette break, a court has heard.
*The sentencing took place on Tuesday at Ennis Circuit Court. A judge has jailed a 31 year old Ennis man for three years and five months for threatening a hitch-hiker that he would set him alight after pulling out a plastic bottle full of petrol.
*Trevor Quinn. AN ENNIS teenager pleaded guilty to two charges in connection with a broad daylight machete attack that left his victim ‘3mm from death’ in the town.
