SHANNON LIONS CLUB will be holding a vintage car rally this Sunday in Bunratty.

From 11am on Sunday morning, up to forty vintage cars will be parked up from Bunratty Castle Hotel down to the village before heading onto Kinvara in Co Galway shortly after 12pm.

As far back as 2009, the Shannon Lions Club have held vintage car rallies.

“We will have different types of cars including Ford, Volkswagen, Mercedes and Jaguars of all shapes and sizes,” President of Shannon Lions Club Tony Walsh told The Clare Echo.

Any money donated on the morning will be going towards Bunratty Search and Rescue.

Tony added, “The cars will be parked from the hotel down as far as the village all along the road, they will be on display for anybody to look and if people would like to come and see the cars they are more than welcome”.
