SCARIFF COMMUNITY COUNCIL have officially opened upgraded paths at the newly named Riverside Community Park.

Works were part-funded by the LEADER programme through the National Development Plan and by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, together with the Department of Rural and Community Development and Clare County Council under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2020.

Financial donations of the community, together with local businesses have contributed hugely to the development of the paths.

At an event prior to Christmas, Scariff Community Council proudly showcased the works while also launching the Condition and Conservation Report on the Workhouse Water Tower, Scariff which was funded under the Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2021.

Fifth and sixth class pupils from Scariff NS were in attendance for the launch with Cathaoirleach of the Killaloe Municipal District, Cllr Joe Cooney (FG) cutting the ribbon watched by Cllr Pat Hayes (FF) and Cllr Pat Burke (FG).
