John K. Ryan (10) was the winner of the weekly singles at Kilrush Golf Club with 30 points from Sean Lyons (11) who returned a similar score.

Dromoland Golf Club:
At a function at Dromoland Castle golf club last week, a cheque was presented to Mary Moloney for Cahercalla Hospice. The money was raised by the members during the summer months.

Meanwhile last week’s winter league 9 hole singles stableford competition was won by Siobhan Fitzpatrick with 22 points.

Ennis Golf Club:
Last week’s 14 hole ladies singles stableford competition at Ennis was won by Rose Enright (28) with 28 points from Suzanne Deane (15) with 25 points. In third spot, also with 25 points was Monica Finnerty (23) followed by Ann Pyne Gallery (29) with 25 points, Kathleen Frehill (39) with 25 points and Ann A. Gallery (17) with 24 points.

Patricia Kerwin (40) won the 9 hole competition with 18 points from Claire Ruane (19) with 16 points, Anne Kelly (29) with 16 points and Flor Coffee (24) with 14 points

The senior ladies team event last week was won by Nuala D’Auria, Patrice Ryan and Mary Lenihan with 33 points. They had three points to spare over Eileen Corry (T), Alice D’Arcy and Claire Ruane. In third spot with 29 points were Carmel Cummins, Geraldine O’Mahoney and Brid Cunningham followed by Kathleen Pyne, Margaret Flanagan and Carmel Verling, also with 29 points.

Gort Golf Club:
Martin Callanan (11) was the winner of category 1 in the men’s 18 hole singles stableford competition at Gort last weekend.

Colin Whelan (15) won category 2 with 39 points. The category 3 winner was Oliver Curtin (17) with 46 points while John O’Connor (30) won category 4 with 39 points.

Woodstock Golf Club:
Woodstock seniors had their first outing of 2022 on Tuesday of this week when the winners of the team event were Tony Coote, Pat Barry and Matt Power with 46 points.
