Road markings from Lynch’s Cross to Ennis will be improved if deemed necessary.

Centre line road markings on the Quin Rd were highlighted by Cllr Clare Colleran Molloy (FF) at a recent meeting of the Ennis Municipal District. The area from Lynch’s Cross to Ennis in particular needed attention.

She appealed for the road markings to be renewed “as they are very faint and may pose a danger”. Visibility of the markings was “very hard” to distinguish for motorists at present, the former General Election candidate believed.

Executive engineer, Barry Conway confirmed that the road markings on the R-469 would be examined. “Any improvements deemed necessary will be included” in the schedule of municipal district works, he said.

Mayor of Ennis, Cllr Paul Murphy (FG) supported the motion and informed Cllr Colleran Molloy that his uncle Frank Lynch would be very pleased with her for bringing it forward.
