The New Year’s weekend men’s 9 hole stableford competition at Dromoland was won by Eamon Power with 23 points from John Higgins with 22, Paudie Dorgan with 21 and Paul English with 21. Cillian O’Connor won the gross with 21 points.

Woodstock Golf Club:

The Christmas weekend team of 4 scramble at Woodstock was won by Mike Crosby, Kevin O’Neill, Mike O’Malley and Niall Higgins with 50.1 nett from Colm Mullen, Jason Dormer, Tony and Paul Coote with 52.1 nett. In third spot with 54.1 nett were Cathal Nagle, Noel Moloney, John Dempsey amd Eugene Killeen.

The weekly seniors competition will return after the Christmas break on Tuesday next, January 11th. The course is closed until Friday of this week to allow for the carrying out of necessary maintenance work

Kilrush Golf Club:

Eoin Fitzgerald (12) was the winner of the Christmas week singles at Kilrush with 29 points from Noel McMahon (6) who had a similar score.

The New Year week singles was won by Brian Scanlan (7) with 28 points from Shane McGibney (15), Tralee with a similar score. Eoin Fitzgerald (12) was third and he also scored 28 points as did fourth placed Geremiah Brennan (8).
