Cannabis, tobacco and cash with a combined estimated value of €21,700 were recovered by Gardaí in Parteen this weekend.

On Saturday, Gardaí carried out a search of a house in Parteen and seized cannabis, tobacco and €4500 in cash. Gardaí from Mayorstone Park and Henry St Garda stations executed the search warrant with assistance from the Armed Support Unit, shortly before 8am.

During the course of the search, €15,700 of suspected cannabis and tobacco worth €1500 were found along with drug paraphernalia. The suspected cannabis has been sent off for analysis.

No arrests have been made as of Monday afternoon but Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry.
