MOUNTSHANNON ARTS Festival will screen the IFTA award winning family, ‘The Days of Trees’ this June Bank Holiday weekend.

Fusion is the theme of this year’s Mountshannon Arts Festival. Its schedule over five days includes poetry readings, music in the park, historical walks, art exhibitions, community market, dance and drama.

Historic venues such as a barge in Mountshannon Harbour will be hosting events.

On the final day, winner of the George Morrison Feature Documentary Award at the IFTA awards, ‘The Days of Trees’ will bring the curtain down on the 2024 festival.

Chairperson of the festival, Mel White explained, “fusion is at the core of creativity and the ability to merge different ideas, cultures and perspectives has meant that we have created
a very unique and innovative schedule of events this year. We have events suitable for families and children and look forward to welcoming everyone to Mountshannon this year.
We have a great group of volunteers and always receive fantastic support from local businesses for which we are very grateful”.
