CLARE’S senior football team shows two changes to take on neighbours Limerick this Saturday evening.

Injury forces Éinne O’Connor out of the Clare side with the reshuffle of Ikem Ugwueru to wing back allowing Dermot Coughlan slot in at wing forward having missed out on their comprehensive win over Wicklow last week.

Joe McGann has been handed a first start of this year’s National Football League. The Doolin man had been travelling at the beginning of 2024 but was introduced as a substitute in the second half last weekend. His return sees Shane Griffin drop to the bench.

There’s been some alterations to the Clare attack with Cormac Murray fresh from kicking two goals last weekend named at centre forward and Emmet McMahon handed the number thirteen jersey.

Elsewhere Mark Fitzgerald and his management keep everything as is. It will be the first time Fitzgerald comes up against Limerick since he departed as manager following last year’s championship.

Limerick are bidding to get their first win in Division 3. They have four defeats to their name but Jimmy Lee’s side were unlucky not to get a result against Westmeath last weekend.
