An intelligence led Garda operation has resulted in the arrest of one man in Clonlara.

Drugs with an estimated street value of €36,000 were seized by An Garda Síochána following an intelligence led operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in Co Clare.

At approximately 11pm on Friday night, Gardaí executed a search warrant in Clonlara. During their investigation, a quantity of ketamine, MDMA, cannabis, cannabis plants, DMT and cannabis jellies were seized (subject to analysis) with an estimated street value of €36,000.

Along with this, an estimated €4000 in cash, a taser and mobile phones were obtained with drug paraphernalia.

A man in his twenties was arrested as Gardaí carried out the search. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 in Henry Street Garda Station.
