Lifeguard cover will be extended across a selection of Clare beaches this week.

Temperatures from 20-24 degrees are forecast for the next couple of days in the county and as a result, lifeguard cover will run from 3:30pm to 7:30pm to cater for after school swimming on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Kilkee, Fanore, Spanish Point, Whitestrand Miltown Malbay and Lahinch are the beaches in which the extended cover will be provided.
