LONG DELAYS have been experienced by Clare motorists following a three car collision in Newmarket-on-Fergus on the M18.

Shortly before 8am on Wednesday morning, two cars were involved in a crash between junction 10 (Newmarket-on-Fergus) and junction 11 (Dromoland/Quin).

No injuries have been reported but there have been significant delays for motorists heading in the direction of Shannon and Limerick.

The road was closed to traffic and was diverted at the Dromoland and Quin exit and through the village of Newmarket-on-Fergus.
