The O’Gorman cup senior football tournament will resume next week and, this year, will take the format of a knockout competition.
Ten teams will compete for the 2020 title in the competition which commemorates John O’Gorman who served Doonbeg and Clare GAA in a variety of positions over many years.
Two preliminary round games will be played over the weekend of July 11/12 with the four quarter finals scheduled for July 18/19.
Staging the games over these weekends will provide the clubs involved with competitive games ahead of their Clare senior and intermediate championship first round games which are scheduled for the weekend of August 1/2.
