Semi-final pairings have been confirmed for the Clare senior hurling championship (SHC).

Following four entertaining and close contests in the quarter-finals, the last four are known
and at Monday’s draw in Clareabbey, they discovered their opponents for the penultimate stage.

Fresh from dethroning Sixmilebridge, Éire Óg have been served up another mouth-watering tie as they must now go toe to toe with Inagh/Kilnamona. The Ennis outfit were arguably the most impressive of the four winners at the weekend while Eugene Cullinan’s Inagh/Kilnamona are unbeaten in this year’s championship after topping the Group of Death before progressing to the knockout stages.

Of the teams left standing, Ballyea are the most recent champions. The winners in 2016 and 2018 overcame Kilmaley by the smallest of margins on Sunday and they have been paired off with Newmarket-on-Fergus, the Blues advancing to the semi-finals on the back of a hard-fought win against neighbours Wolfe Tones.

These clashes are to take place on the weekend of October 30th/31st.

Clare SHC semi-finals:
Inagh/Kilnamona v Éire Óg
Newmarket-on-Fergus v Ballyea
