Reigning Clare senior camogie club champions, Inagh/Kilnamona have been paired in a difficult group in their bid to complete a three in a row.

Draws for the 2018 Clare Senior Camogie Championship took place at the weekend. Fresh from their meeting in the league final, Inagh/Kilnamona and Sixmilebridge will square off again, they are joined in Group 1 by Truagh/Clonlara who reached the last four of the championship last year and Kilmaley who will also fancy their chances of progressing past the group stages.

Having secured promotion from the intermediate ranks in 2017, Éire Óg will be quietly pleased with their group opponents. They will meet 2016 All-Ireland Junior finalists Scariff/Ogonnelloe, Clooney/Quin and Newmarket-on-Fergus.

August 24th has been pencilled in for the start date of the club championships. In the meantime the Clare senior camogie team will begin their All-Ireland campaign on Saturday when they face Galway in Pearse Stadium.
