RETIRED STONEMASON, Michael Loughrey (IP) has never lived in Co Clare but claims that there is a plan to replace the people of the county with immigrants..

In June, Michael received 127 first preference votes when running in the Ennistymon local electoral area, the fourth lowest return of all 59 candidates who put themselves forward for the Clare County Council elections.

Part of The Irish People Party, it has merged under the National Alliance for the General Election. “We’ve all come together to, you know, to pull out resources and knowledge, and, we feel that, you know, this would be the way to go, you know, so that we can get at least somebody into Dáil Éireann so that we can stand a chance together, I’m not talking about together with the immigration problem, I’m talking about together with us indigenous Irish people”.

Children are forced to live with their parents for longer due to the property market which is impacting on their ability to start families, he flagged. “I’ve got two kids and they can’t start families because they’re worried about housing, social housing, all that kind of stuff and they’re living at home. We already have a problem in our population because as you know we’ve got less kids being born. We’ve got abortions going on, I’m pro-life myself and we’ve people leaving the country for America, Australia, and, you know, places like that, England, Europe, so we’re losing our people and we won’t get them back”.

COVID-19 in his words was “one big hoax” with Tony Fauci and Bill Gates responsible for devising the global pandemic he claimed, “them two lunatics should be locked up and in prison”. Facebook and X are his main sources of news, he confirmed.

When asked if he has ever been involved with community groups, Loughrey replied, “I’ve got bigger issues than tidy towns, you’re having me on, I’ve been raising my children, mate”.

North Clare’s electorate who didn’t vote for Michael in June have “been so brainwashed by the mainstream media,” he claimed. “Of course there’s enough time,” he remarked when asked if he could change their minds by polling day but then realised that even time may also be against him, “You’re not going to unwash their minds that quick, it took them it took years they were drip fed with propaganda and nonsense and, ideological junk so it’s going to take a long time, it’s a cult, we’re living in a cult and you know what a cult is don’t you? When you’re controlled from the television, they lie on television, and it’s in their faces every day and even if they’re not watching it, it’s subliminal, they’re hearing it and they’re brainwashed from it”.

He said he has been an activist for the past five years and works with “a lot of intelligent and smart people on our team. If somebody else wants to do it, get into my shoes. Okay? If there’s somebody there who can deliver the truth, okay, about the ideological conformity that’s going on here, if they can deal with all that, and I’m talking about what’s going on in schools, in the sex education system. I’m talking about all of that stuff. I’m talking about what the Government are putting into the minds of the young. A bunch of ideology, and it’s destroying the youth”.

Immigration is a subject which gets London born Loughrey particularly vexed. “I don’t want Third-Worldism in Ireland, do you see what they’ve done when they came in here? We gave everything. We were very generous people. We were very generous, we’ve always been generous, we’ve given money to charities, to Africa, to this, to that. We were always giving and now they’re over here and because of the mainstream media who have posted on the newspapers over the years that the Irish are racist, I’ve seen them, go back and have a look you’re in the media you should know this stuff, Irish racists, so these people coming over here from the third world, the Africans, the Muslims and they’re looking at that and now they’re giving us a hiding, aren’t they”.

Living in Ireland since 1985, he said while living in England he was treated “very good very well, in fact. Growing up in England was a lovely thing”.

Given that he received a warm welcome abroad, it is then pointed out to Loughrey that his reception or lack of people coming to Ireland is hypocritical to say the least. The observation that Brazilian natives and persons of other nationalities now living in Gort have been far more active than him in voluntary capacities is not well received. “I’ve been surviving, mate. Yeah. Well, everyone is I’ve been fixing up my bleeding house, mate. I’ve got a house up here. What do you think? Get on with it. They got all the money, ain’t they. Keep going with it and invite all the invaders in and sweeten them up and say, oh, can you give us a hand here? You do that. I’m against my own replacements. I’m against my own replacement and I’m against the Irish replacement. This has been done before in history to us and it’s being done again. And I don’t care if the people are lovely and they come over and they’re all lovely, they’re still replacing us and they need to know that”.
