Ennis’ Pa Gleeson will become the first Clare referee to take charge of the FAI Junior Cup Final.

On Saturday, the FAI Junior Cup final sees Limerick’s Fairview Rangers take on Usher Celtic of Dublin. The fixture takes place at Eamon Deasy Park in Galway at 2pm and will be officiated by Pa Gleeson.

Fresh from taking charge of the Banner Carpets & Flooring Clare Cup Final, Pa will be joined by by assistant referees John Mulroe of Mayo and Ray Conlon of the Midlands.

Clare’s Noel Coughlan will act as FAI Referee Observer for the decider.

Chairperson of the Clare District Soccer League, Oliver Fitzpatrick wished Gleeson the very best ahead of the national final. “Pa is one of the best referees in the country and it’s a fitting reward for the hard work and dedication to the game he puts in to see him appointed to the showpiece event in Junior Soccer in the Country”.
