One gang broke into six different premises stretching from Ennis to Sixmilebridge in a ninety minute period in the early hours of Friday morning.

Between 2 and 3 a.m. a business premises on the Clare Road, Ennis was broken into by smashing the glass panel in the front door with cash was stolen from the till. From here, a business in the Gort Rd Industrial Estate was targeted, the glass panel at the front of the building was broken but nothing was taken.

Cash and iPhone were stolen from the reception area of a business premises on the Limerick Rd in Ennis at approximately 3.01 a.m. when once again the front glass panel was broken to gain entry.

A shop and chipper in Newmarket-on-Fergus were both broken into at 3.10 a.m. with bricks used to smash a front window and front door. A cash box containing a sum of money was stolen from the shop with cash taken from the eatery.

Sixmilebridge was the final location hit by the gang, the front door of a business on Pound St was forced open with money stolen at some stage between 3.15 and 3.30 a.m.

Crime Prevention Officer at Ennis Garda Station, Triona Oโ€™Rourke confirmed to The Clare Echo, โ€œGardaรญ are following a definite line of enquiry into these burglariesโ€. She added, โ€œWe are appealing to anyone who may have seen a white Fiat 500 with partial registration number 11 LK during the night of Thursday, 9th May and the early hours of Friday, 10th May or anyone who may have dash cam footage of this vehicle to contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100โ€.
