This weekend marks the resumption of competitive club football, with fixtures taking place in seven different leagues.

The Bank holiday weekend will kick-off with three major fixtures at 8pm on Friday evening, as the FutureTicketing Cusack Cup commences. The current holders Ennistymon will travel to Gurteen to face St. Joseph’s Doora/Barefield, Kilmurry Ibrickane host Lissycasey in Quilty, and Kildysart face the challenge of St. Joseph’s Miltown Malbay at Hennessy Memorial Park.

The final fixture in the top tier of the Clare Leagues takes place mid day St. Patrick’s day as last year’s beaten championship finalists St. Breckan’s take on Clondegad in Lisdoonvarna.

Éire Óg and Kilmihill face off on Saturday noon in Éire Óg GAA to start the RealPrint Garry Cup competition whilst Saturday also begins the 2024 senior county champions Cratloe’s campaign in the HM Travel Football League Div 3, as they face Killimer in Lee’s Road Complex at 1:15pm.

Wolfe Tones na Sionna will head West to Páirc Eoin also on Saturday to face Naomh Eoin at 4pm in Div 3, whilst the Morey Movement Football Div 4 League commences three hours earlier as Lissycasey welcome to visit of Liscannor.

Division 6 and Division 7 will also commence this Bank holiday weekend, as Clarecastle travel to Kildysart for a 1:30pm throw-in in Div 6 on Saturday, whilst Corofin and Éire Óg, Ínis will have to come to a solution on who wears their away set of jerseys in Div 6, also at 1:30pm on Saturday.
