ENNISTYMON CBS are chasing a historic Munster double this weekend.

On Saturday, Ennistymon CBS claimed the Corn Sheáin Uí Mhurchú (Munster U19 ½ football championship) defeating Dungarvan CBS 3-12 1-05.

Their win was made all the more impressive having done it without the talented Brendy Rouine who lined out for the Ennistymon senior footballers last season and is currently part of Colm Collins’ county senior panel. A hamstring injury kept the former Clare minor out of action.

Mark Kelleher raided for the first of Ennistymon CBS’ goals with Diarmuid Fahy raising another green flag before half-time when they led 2-06 1-02. A close range finish from Niall Hogan sealed the win for Tara Rynne’s charges.

Part two brings them to the University of Limerick on Saturday where Presentation Secondary School Ballingarry (Tipperary) stand in their way of getting their hands on the Corn Risteard Uí Mhathúna (Munster U19 ½ senior hurling championship). Throw-in is at 12:30pm.
