CLARE’s senior hurlers first outing of 2022 will be streamed online, Munster GAA have confirmed.

All games in the Munster Hurling Cup sponsored by Co-Op Superstores will be streamed on clubber.ie with Brian Lohan’s side making their first appearance of the year on Friday week (January 14th) when they welcome Liam Cahill’s Waterford to O’Garney Park in Sixmilebridge.

New additions to the Clare panel will be expected to see game-time in the semi-final versus the Déise while the competition is also an opportunity for Lohan to win his first piece of silverware in what will kick off his third season as manager.

Limerick meet the winners of Tipperary and Kerry in the other semi-final with the final pencilled in to take place on Saturday January 22nd.

Cratloe’s Diarmuid Ryan attended the launch of the competition at the Co-Op Superstores in Raheen, Limerick which is the flagship store in Dairygold’s retail network alongside Fionan MacKessy (Kerry), Barry Nash (Limerick), Barry Hogan (Tipperary) and Austin Gleeson (Waterford).

Chairman of Munster GAA, Liam Lenihan maintained the pre-season competition “provides participating teams with a great opportunity to prepare for the very competitive Allianz League starting in early February”.

Liam O’Flaherty, Head Of Dairygold Agri Business said: “We are delighted to join forces once again with Munster GAA in what is a most exciting and competitive era for hurling in Munster”.
