TRUAGH/CLONLARA will bounce back from their extra time defeat in the Clare Credit Unions senior camogie final, their manager has said.

Reigning provincial and county champions, Truagh/Clonlara were dethroned when losing to Inagh/Kilnamona following extra time on Saturday.

While disappointed with the outcome, Truagh/Clonlara manager Bob Caulfield was full of praise for his charges. “It went right down to the wire and I wouldn’t have expected anything else from the two teams that were in the final”.

Hehir’s goal in the last minute of normal time was a big turning point in the game, he said. “The goal gave Inagh/Kilnamona the impetus and they kicked on from then. We could have snatched it in ordinary time. In fairness to them, they are a fine side”.

Caulfield is confident the reigning Munster champions will bounce back, “they are a great bunch of girls and they gave it everything. We have had three great years and this defeat is not the end of this group by any means. Hopefully the girls who missed out this year due to injury will be back next season”.
