Ennis boxer Paddy Donovan secured his third professional win in Bolton on Friday night.

Donovan was expected to prevail in the bout against Oscar Amador with the welterweight delivering the knockout blow inside three rounds.

Trained by Andy Lee, Paddy’s professional record reads 3-0 with two knockout wins under his belt. The one-sided contest saw the twenty year old combine body and head shots in the third round before a powerful left hook concluded matters.

After Christmas, the Clare fighter will travel to the US to begin training for his next outing on St Patrick’s week where he features on the undercard for Michael Conlan’s next fight.

Though expected, the ‘Real Deal’ described Friday’s fight as a “great win”. “I enjoyed every second of it, thanks to the people that came and supported me and to everyone at home for your messages and to all my team”.
