MEMBERS of the public are still in with a chance to wins flights from Shannon Airport along with spending money when they shop local this Christmas.

Ennis Chamber and The Shannon Airport Group have partnered to launch a special โ€˜BuyLocalFlyLocalโ€™ initiative to raise awareness about the importance of supporting local businesses this Christmas, while also promoting the fantastic choice of flights available from Shannon Airport.

Flights featured in this yearโ€™s promotion are to Paris (Charles de Gaulle Airport) with Aer Lingus and to Faro, Portugal with Ryanair. ย Together with flights, The Shannon Airport Group will provide Car Parking and access to the airport lounge for the winners.

In addition, Ennis Chamber will add โ‚ฌ300 spending money for each lucky winner.

Simple campaign

Sheila Lynch, President Ennis Chamber said, โ€œThe idea behind #BuyLocalFlyLocal is simple, we are asking people to support local businesses this Christmas, by shopping local and dining local.ย  We are also asking people to support our local airport โ€“ Shannon International Airport โ€“ when planning weekend breaks, business travel and holidays for 2024.โ€

Those who spend a minimum of โ‚ฌ20 with participating businesses will be entered in a draw for flights for two plus โ‚ฌ300 spending money. The first draw for Aer Lingus flights to Paris (Charles de Gaulle airport) took place at the weekend, but there is still a chance to win flights to Faro, Portugal with Ryanair plus โ‚ฌ300 spending money with the draw this weekend (December 16th and 17th).

Boosting our local economy

Research shows that for every โ‚ฌ10 spent locally in Clare, โ‚ฌ24 of business is generated within the local economy. This is a great campaign with a simple, clear message that encourages people to buy local and fly local.

Mary Considine, CEO, Theย Shannon Airport Group said, โ€œWe know how important it is to support local businesses and we were delightedย to partner with Ennis Chamber on this initiative to encourage people to think local this Christmas. The #BuyLocalFlyLocal campaign has become an annual initiative, and we are excitedย to offer a pair of tickets to Paris and Faro to our lucky competition winners this year. We have enjoyed a very successful year at Shannon Airport, and we would like to sincerely thank people for their support and ask them to continue to Fly Shannon.โ€
