OVER 100 entries were received by Ennis Tidy Towns for its ‘Best Kept Gardens’ awards.

Winners came from the one family with Declan Ensko and his daughter Nolette winning awards in different categories. Declan is based in Corrovorrin with Nolette residing in Ballybeg.

“Green fingers obviously run in the family,” said Chairperson of Ennis Tidy Towns, Cllr Mary Howard (FG) when congratulating the winners. She explained, “This year there were record entries in each category and the judges had a difficult time in making their decisions”.

Clancy Park won the 2024 green area winner, Eileen Ryan won best kept miniature garden, Michael and Ann Burke won the prize in the best biodiversity garden, Mary Guilfoyle had the best kept small garden and Jason Smith won best kept large garden.

Over 100 entries were received by Ennis Tidy Towns for this year’s competition.

Categories include the best kept garden for sizes small, medium and large, best kept estate plus the biodiversity garden award.

Certificates and vouchers were issued at a recent event at Waterpark House where musical entertainment was provided by St Michael’s Villas.
