€2,100 of suspected cocaine was seized by Gardaí in Tiermaclane on Monday evening.

Gardaí from the Clare divisional drugs unit were on patrol when they stopped and searched a car in Tiermaclane shortly after 5:30pm on Monday.

During the course of the search, Gardaí discovered €2,100 of drugs which are suspected to be cocaine, bags and a weighing scales.

No arrests were made at the scene but a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána told The Clare Echo they are following “a definite line of enquiry”. The suspected drugs will now be sent for analysis.
