THE Doora Charity Tractor Run has announced that it has raised more than €70,000 in the last decade.
Established ten years ago, this year’s tractor run hosted on the October Bank Holiday raised €7,300 bringing the overall amount raised by the Doora Charity Tractor Run to €72,000.
This year’s funds went to Sláinte An Chláir and Milford Care Centre, and benficiaries of the €72,000 include various charities including Clarecastle Day Care Centre, Cahercalla Community Hospice, Pieta House & the Jack & Jill Foundation.
Noting the “staggering amount raised by such a small community”, organisers told The Clare Echo, “We are extremely thankful to the local community & businesses who have supported this event for the last 10 years & helped to make it the success it is”.
