Clare boxer Paddy ‘Real Deal’ Donovan will be in the ring for his first bout of 2021 in just over two weeks.

Donovan will compete in a MTK Fight Night on Friday January 22nd at Production Park Studios in Wakefield.

With five wins from five professional outings, the Ennis man will be determined to maintain his unbeaten streak. His last fight in November was a step up in competition but one he was more than able for to earn a superb win over Jumanne Camero.

“This is a great way for me to start 2021. I want to thank my team for giving me this new opportunity to continue my journey to the top of the boxing game. It’s my time to put on a show and I just can’t wait,” Paddy stated.

Speaking after being named The Clare Echo’s Sportsperson of the Year, the thirteen time national champion paid tribute to everyone involved in his successful 2020. “I promise 2021 with hard work and determination will be my standout year. I have goals that I want to accomplish and won’t stop until I’ve achieved them all”.

Others on the line-up include Lee McGregor challenging Karim Guerfi for his EBU bantamweight title, and Sean McComb and Gavin Gwynne meeting for the vacant Commonwealth lightweight title.
