THE Ozone Health and Fitness Winter league continued at Woodstock at the weekend when this week’s format was scotch foursomes.

The winners were Mike and Cathal Kelly (Team Hcp 21) with 43 points. They won by three from John Baker and Aaron Lavery (Team Hcp 23) with third place filled by Aidan Mulcahy and Sean Howard (Team Hcp 12) with 39 points.

The league continues this week when the format will be modified betterball over 15 holes.

Last week’s club singles was won by Martin White (17) with 35 points and he had one to spare over John Dreelin (10). There will be another club singles this week.

East Clare Golf Club:

Enda Donnellan (14) won the men’s open singles turkey competition at East Clare with 42 points. He had one to spare over Russell Troy (15) while the gross was won by Paul Hayes with 76. Round 1 of the Winter league is currently underway

Kilrush Golf Club:

Ruairi Young (5) with 27 points was the winner of the turkey competition at Kilrush at the weekend from Bernard Coleman (8) with a similar score.
