SHANNON TOWN, Sixmilebridge, Cratloe, Kilkishen, Quin and Kilmurry are experiencing a loss of water supply following operational issues at Castlelake Water Treatment Plant.

Crews from Uisce Éireann are working to restore water supply in Shannon Town, Sixmilebridge, Cratloe, Kilkishen, Quin, Kilmurray and surrounding areas in Co Clare.

Disruptions to water supply and a loss of pressure has been experienced in some households due to operational issues at Castlelake Water Treatment Plant.

Short-term discolouration to supply may also be experienced, Uisce Éireann have advised. In the event of discolouration, running the cold kitchen tap for several minutes, will usually restore the water to a clear colour.

Darragh Conneely, Water Operations Manager, Uisce Éireann said: “We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage, and we thank customers for their support while repair works continue. We are working to restore supply to customers as quickly as possible”.
