NEWMARKET-ON-FERGUS’ Lee Devitt has been named in the PFA Ireland Men’s First Division Team of the Year.

Lee is the only Treaty Utd representative to make the team of the year which was chosen by players. The PFA is the Professional Footballers Association of Ireland.

For the past two seasons, Lee has been selected as the Treaty Utd player of the year and he has become an integral figure for the Limerick club since signing from Cobh Ramblers at the beginning of 2022.

Twenty five year old Devitt finished the season with fourteen goals to his name which was the third highest in the First Division. His match-winning penalty sixty seconds from time helped Treaty defeat Athlone Town 3-2 in September while he also stepped up with goals in each half when they defeated Bray Wanders 2-1 in June and at the end of February he was on target in their 2-1 victory against Finn Harps to push them into second place.
