O’Callaghans Mills’ winning run continued at Scariff on Thursday evening when they made it four from four in the willwego.com Clare Cup with victory over Scariff at the latter’s venue.

The winners were boosted by the inclusion of two players who hadn’t been available to them in recent weeks.
Seanie Boyce became available after Clare’s involvement in the Munster under 20 hurling championship had ended he previous week with defeat in the Provincial final.
He lined out at corner forward on Thursday evening and he scored the game’s only goal which came in he opening half and which helped his side to a 1-11 to 0-9 half time lead.
Well known handballer Colin Crehan was introduced during the second half and he managed to get on the scoresheet. This was the talented forward’s first game of the season.
The resullt will have proved a huge disappointment for the home side who had recorded an impressive and much needed win a week earlier when overcoming Kilmaley.
Jacob Loughnane continued his impressive form when again emerging as his side’s top scorer with 0-9, three of which came from open play.
Shane Kavanagh was the home side’s leading scorer with 0-8 while Patrick Crotty chipped in with four.
