ELEVEN games in the Clare District Soccer League (CDSL) scheduled to take place on Sunday have been postponed.

On Saturday evening, the CDSL announced that all Sunday fixtures taking place in the county would not be taking place.

Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow wind warning for Co Clare which is in place from 13:00 on Saturday to 02:00 on Sunday.

Bridge Utd’s meeting with Shannon Hibs in the second round of the FAI Junior Cup will proceed as planned.

Clare County Council closed Lees Rd in Ennis from 1pm on Saturday due to the wind warning. The facility was to host the meeting of Fair Green Celtic and Avenue Utd in the Maloney Hardware Premier Division on Sunday morning. The other game in the top flight that has been pulled is the clash of Shannon Town and Kilrush Rangers scheduled for Lynch Park.

Lees Rd was also to host the meeting of Manus Celtic and Mountshannon Celtic in the Boru Sports First Division. Other games scrapped in the second tier include the clash of Bunratty Cratloe vs Connolly Celtic and Shannon Olympic against Fern Celtic.

In the Brian Pyne Tiles Second Division, Coole FC vs Avenue Utd B, Bridge Utd B vs Rhine Rovers and Newmarket Celtic C against Corofin Harps have been called off.

Three games have also been postponed in the CDSL Third Division, Shannon Town C were due to host Hermitage B, the Shannon derby of Shannon Hibs B against Shannon Town B is off as is the clash of Avenue Utd C against Mountshannon Celtic.
