BOBBY KERR has stepped down as Chairperson of the Board of the Cliffs of Moher DAC.

Former Dragon, Bobby was appointed as the Chair of the first Cliffs of Moher Board in November 2018. His departure after seven years was announced on Friday in a statement by Clare County Council.

During his tenure, the former CEO of Insomnia helped the transition to the Cliffs of Moher DAC in 2021, and subsequently the transition of the daily operations of the Cliffs of Moher Experience to the Clare Tourism Development DAC in 2023. The Clare Tourism Development DAC oversees the day-to-day running of Clare County Council tourism attractions.

In a statement, Bobby said, “I am honoured to have had the opportunity to serve as Chairperson of the Board of the Cliffs of Moher DAC. The journey over the past seven years has been incredibly rewarding, and I am proud of what we have achieved together”.

Clare County Council paid tribute to the Newstalk presenter for his commitment, dedication, and vision in helping to establish the Cliffs of Moher Experience as the most visited natural attraction in Ireland.

Director of Tourism and Vice Chair of Cliffs of Moher DAC Síobhan McNulty said, “As Bobby moves on to other ventures, we would like to wish him the very best and remain grateful for his generosity in sharing his expertise as chair of the board.”

According to the Council, Kerr’s vast knowledge and business acronym to the role, drawing from his experience in a variety of sectors including food and hospitality, technology, hardware, and broadcasting was a big asset during his seven years in the role.

The Clare Echo understands that an AGM of the DAC will have to be held to appoint a new Chairperson.
