BOTH AVENUE UTD and Newmarket Celtic will be on the road for the fourth round of the FAI Junior Cup.

As Clareโ€™s only representatives left standing of the sixty four remaining teams, the two clubs will be flying the county flag when they take to the field in the next round of the national competition.

Paddy Purcellโ€™s Newmarket will be heading to Wexford to face Shelburne Utd while Avenue Utd managed by David Russell are going in the opposite direction of the M18 to meet Tuam Celtic.

Shelburne and Tuam are First Division sides in their respective leagues so both Newmarket and Avenue will carry the favourites tag despite not having the benefit of home advantage. The ties are to be played on or before November 27th.

Goals from Eoin Hayes helped Newmarket to a 3-0 win over Shannon Town on Sunday to seal their spot in the fourth round. Avenueโ€™s last encounter in the FAI Junior Cup saw them defeat Lifford FC 3-0 thanks to a double from Mark Roche and one goal from new signing Nneji Nnabuike, the Roslevan based outfit reached the last sixteen of the competition last season.
