Ava Rochford took first place in the High Jump at the recent Schools International in England.
In what was a first win at this level for the Rice College student, she also took fifth place in the pole vault while representing her school and country.
She competed against students from England, Scotland and Wales at the competitions which were held in Derbyshire.
To top off an amazing weekend, Ava was awarded and presented with the Sean Nylan medal for the Irish International Female Athlete of the Championships.
