*Lifford’s wait to renew acquaintances with Bridge Celtic continues.ย

ALL GAMES in the Clare District Soccer League (CDSL) this weekend have been postponed.

On Friday evening, the CDSL committee informed clubs that a blanket cancellation of all games scheduled was to be implemented โ€œdue to ongoing weather conditionsโ€.

Two ties in the Ennis Carpets Clare Cup third round were due to be played, Moher Celtic were to host Shannon Town B in Lahinch.

A resolution to the previously abandoned fixture between Bridge Celtic and Lifford will also have to wait. The tie has now been postponed for two weekends in a row after a suitable pitch could not be found for their tie last Sunday also. Two minutes of extra time and penalties if needed are to be played.

Shannon Town Aโ€™s clash with Avenue Utd A in the Maloney Garden Machinery Premier Division was among the pick of the weekend ties while the meeting of Coole FC and Kilrush Rangers was likely to be a closely contested affair.

Not as many GAA fixtures were impacted in the Clare Cup. The Division 1A tie between Newmarket-on-Fergus and Feakle was called off following a pitch inspection with underage ties in U15 competitions also impacted.
