Aldi are seeking to recruit an additional 24 employees for its stores in Clare and Limerick.

Throughout 2021, Aldi Ireland have announced their plans to hire 24 employees across its stores in Clare and Limerick, 18 permanent positions are on offer across the discount supermarket chain’s seven stores in Clare and Limerick.

Across the country, Aldi plan to hire 1,050 new store employees including 700 permanent and 350 temporary posts. A 15.2 percent growth in sales has been recorded by Aldi in the past 12 months.

Plans have previously been submitted by Aldi for a new store in Shannon as part of its ambitious store opening programme.

Group Managing Director of Aldi Ireland, Niall O’Connor outlined that “a major increase in customer footfall” has been observed during the pandemic. “Our staff have played a central role in ensuring people have had access to essential best value groceries in a safe environment”.

O’Connor added, “We take pride in being one of the best employers in the country, employing over 4,500 colleagues and paying industry leading wages”.
