Newmarket Celtic advanced to the last eight of the U17 FAI Cup with a hard earned home victory against Letterkenny on Saturday.

Celtic took the lead on the half hour mark when Ché Sheedy scored a free kick and they held this lead until thirty minutes into the second half when the visitors levelled from a free kick

Two minutes into the first period of extxra time Adam Cusack broke through the visitors defence and fired home what proved to be the winner for the Barry O’Driscoll managed side.
