MEMBERS of the Shannon Active Retirement Group are keeping on their toes.
Shannon’s branch of Active Retirement is one of the most active in the county not alone in their events but also in their actions.
Each week, the ladies complete a walk in their group. Once the walking is finished, the talking increases and they pick a different area in Shannon where they unwind with some tea, coffee and treats.
Walking spots also vary with the group recently travelling in the vicinity of Shannon Airport to see the increase in traffic as more routes return to the International Airport.
There are currently 137 members of the Active Retirement branch in Shannon. They resumed activities in September for the first time since the onset of COVID-19 in March of the previous year.
