Ennis student Ava Rochford finished first in the pole vault at the recent Tailteann Inter-provincial Athletics Championships.
Formerly of Ennis Track and now with Nenagh Olympic, Ava finished first in the pole vault and second in the high jump during a very successful endeavour at the Tailteann Championships.
She also won her qualification competition which means she will represent the Irish Schools Athletics team in both pole vault and in high jump this coming weekend at the Schools International in Derbyshire UK.
Ava is currently a transition year student at Rice College in Ennis.
