THE Clare Echo has launched a weekly newsletter and in doing so has become the first news outlet in Clare to do so.

The newsletter brings readers closer to the main stories of the week and offers more insight for those who care about whatโ€™s happening in Clare.

Each week, readers will be sent an email including the three most read stories of the week, a deeper dive into sporting stories and statistics, updates on breaking business stories, crucial developments at Shannon Airport and more.

The Monday afternoon newsletter is part of The Clare Echoโ€™s online expansion plans.

Editor Stuart Holly said, โ€œItโ€™s clear to us that the future of media is online and we are reacting to that by increasing our digital offering. We are delighted to be the first media outlet in Clare to launch a weekly newsletter and by doing so, we hope to learn more about our readers and what information they value the most from their local media.

โ€œThe early uptake rate has been particularly strong and weโ€™re proud to see the feedback from our subscribers has been overwhelmingly positive. Having recently redesigned our website to improve the user experience, we see this as the next natural step in our online journeyโ€.
