Clare ladies football board have assembled a strong line-up for a coaching webinar on Wednesday.

Speakers on the night for Becoming a Better Coach will include current Dublin ladies football manager and former Clare senior football coach, Mick Bohan, former All Ireland Cork player Valerie Mulcahy and Clareโ€™s newly appointed ladies football manager Evan Talty.

According to county board chairman Sean Lenihan, โ€œThis event will be of interest to many people for different reasons.  We have an excellent line up of speakers, each bringing their own unique wisdom and experience to the event.  Mick Bohan has a long history of coaching teams including the Dublin U21 and Senior GAA teams, DCU Sigerson teams and more recently as a 4 in a row winning Manager of the Dublin Ladies.  He is a great friend to Clare GAA and we are delighted to have Mick share the benefit of his experienceโ€.

โ€œValerie Mulcahy needs no introduction.  She is a 10 time All Ireland winner with the Cork ladies and has more recently moved into coaching with TG4s Underdogs and with Dublinโ€™s Balllyboden St Endas ladies football team. Evan Talty has had a long and distinguished playing career and has many innovative ideas from his experience of moving into both club and county management in recent years,โ€ Lenihan added.

Maintaining a focus on games, development and players remains important despite the uncertainty, the St Josephs Doora/Barefield clubman outlined. He said a number of equally exciting events are being planned.

Seรกn said, โ€œIt is great to be able to use this downtime productively by having webinars such as this and put in place measures that will benefit Clare Ladies football in the longer term.  The county board is committed to doing all we can to help and promote ladies football in Clare across all levels.  We have hard working committees looking at development, gradings, fixtures and finance since our AGM in Decemberโ€.

Anyone interested in joining next Wednesdayโ€™s event can register their interest on any of the Clare LGFA social media platforms.
