21 new cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed in Co Clare as part of 1,283 nationally.
Dublin (408), Cork (156), Kildare (88), Meath (80) and Limerick (55) accounted for the majority of new cases notified to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) on Saturday.
In a one week window from October 9th to October 17th, a total of 160 individuals in Co Clare have tested positive for the virus following confirmation by the Department of Health of an additional 21 cases in the county.
Co Clare continues to have the fifth highest fourteen day incidence rate per 100k of population in the country.
Officials in the HPSC have been informed of three more deaths related to Coronavirus. It brings the country’s death toll to 1,852.
At 2pm on Sunday, figures from the Department of Health have noted that 277 persons were being treated for the virus in Irish hospitals. Of this figure, 33 were in ICU. Over the past 24 hours, 17 hospitalisations in connection with the virus were observed.
