Cratloe’s reward for dethroning St Josephs Miltown in the Clare SFC is a semi-final tie with current intermediate champions St Breckans.

Monday saw the draws for the semi-finals in the Clare SFC, IFC and Junior A quarter-finals take place at Clareabbey.

Having already dispatched of St Josephs Miltown and Éire Óg, last year’s beaten finalists Kilmurry Ibrickane must now get past the challenge of Lissycasey who have shown promise in defeating Cratloe and Kilmihil.

Two time Oscar Traynor winning boss Donie Garrihy who has led St Breckans back to the senior ranks faces a clash with Colm Collins on the sidelines in two weeks, Declan O’Keeffe who is part of Garrihy’s management also forms part of Collins’ backroom team with the county footballers.

The North Clare side were paired against Cratloe who qualified for the last four after seeing off both Clondegad and St Josephs Miltown over the course of the weekend.

In the intermediate championship, Kildysart and Corofin will cross swords again. The men from the Estuary had a slender 0-13 0-12 win over Colm Clancy’s side in the opening round. The other semi-final clash pits St Josephs Doora/Barefield against Shannon Gaels.
