Éire Óg secured their place in the semi-finals of the Clare intermediate camogie championship overcoming Tulla on Saturday evening.

A strong opening half from the Ennis women laid the foundations for their 4-14 4-05 win. Five of their forwards raised white flags as Éire Óg raced into an early six point lead. Orla Devitt with 1-04 finished as the side’s top scorer with Sarah Redmond, Jodie Russell and Orla McMahon also hitting the back of Siobhan Torpey’s net. Their reward for coming out on top is a semi-final encounter with Clooney/Quin.

With semi-final places already in the bag, the meeting of Feakle/Killanena and Clooney/Quin was more a case of trying not to reveal too much with both clubs fancied to advance to the intermediate decider in the coming weeks.

Nothing separated the sides in their fifth round encounter with it finishing Feakle Killanena 2-17 Clooney/Quin 3-14. Clooney/Quin held a three point lead as the teams headed for the final water break but scores from Regan Conway and Meabh Brady allowed the East Clare outfit to get a share of the spoils.

Clarecastle/Ballyea registered a 2-05 1-04 victory Whitegate with a tally of 1-04 from Doireann Murphy determining the result.
