Strict measures remain in place as greyhound racing has resumed, the break has served Clare owners well with more success recorded in Galway.

Racing got underway on Tuesday last at the Galway track where in the opening A6 graded contest developed into a match from an early stage as Aulton Superior and Peteles Queen disputed the lead with Aulton Superior taking narrow advantage entering the back straight.

Passing halfway the Pat Hogan of Ennis owned Aulton Superior began to assert as he took two lengths out of his rival before railing well and staying on strongly all the way to the line.

Baulked on her debut effort the David Hogan of Quilty owned Tromora Skip (Good News-Tromora Sonic) made no mistake in race three which was her second outing as she comfortably outpointed Tiernevan Gort by five and a half lengths in 19.16. Kilbannon Tee was fast away as usual but the winner switched inside to take control at the opening bend before drawing right away for an emphatic success.

The Quilty owner was back in the winners enclosure after the first race at the same venue on Thursday night when his Tromora Win a son of Good News and Tromora Dot who disputed the early lead with the wide seeded Merciful Charlie. The pair were tracked down the back straight by Trapper Jane but the winner was in control from the third bend and was full value for his two and three quarter length success in 29.98.
