A further death and three more cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Republic of Ireland.

1,735 people have now died in the Republic of Ireland from COVID-19 following confirmation of one death in the space of 24 hours.

Officials within the Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) have also been notified of an additional three cases brining to 25,439 the total amount of personnel to have tested positive for the virus. One case has been de-notified by the HPSC. The figure is the lowest amount of daily new cases in the month of June.

For the second day in a row, the Department of Health have not provided figures on a county by county basis.

Latest figures for Co Clare which are from Wednesday (June 24th) state that there are 369 confirmed cases in the county, a figure which has stayed stagnant for fifteen days.

Tomorrow (Monday), Ireland enters Phase 3 in the roadmap for reopening the country. This will permit the opening of churches, gyms, salons, barbers, hotels, restaurants and certain pubs.
